On Tuesday, October 9, the Nevada 9th grade girls volleyball team played Gilbert at home. The Cubs beat the Tigers 2-0: 25-13 and 25-22.
“We played very well and were able to communicate and work together as a team,” Coach Abigail Hansen said. “Both Mayzi Weig and Shieann Flores were very important to our game with their serves.”
Coach Hansen said, “Alexis Bartmess was key to our front row and had some really great plays that helped us to get in the lead.”
The Cubs ended their season on Thursday, October 11 with a match against Ames.
