On Saturday, September 29, the Nevada freshman volleyball team placed second (3-1) at a tournament at home. Nevada beat Johnston (2-0), Ballard (2-0), and Iowa Falls. Their only loss was to Dowling Catholic.
Highlights for the day were Ashlynn Sporrer and Alexis Bartmess having great serving runs, and Ashlynn doing a great job setting for the team.
“We are definitely seeing what improvements we have made over these last couple of weeks,” said Coach Abigail Hansen, “We were able to minimize our own errors and become smarter offensively.”
The next game they play Gilbert at home Tuesday, October 9.
