The 8th grade Nevada Cubs volleyball team had high energy in an almost sweep as they faced Roland-Story last week. On Monday, September 24th, the Cubs traveled to Roland Story to face the Norseman, winning five out of six games.
The Cubs came into the matches against the Norseman focusing on successful serves and being prepared for free balls.
“We are working on getting more hits at the end of our three touches, and last night was one of the first nights we were consistently getting kills from our spiking,” said Coach Hailee Bentley.
The Cubs did a tremendous job with with increasing their numbers of kills and aces.
With the Cubs having a dominant performance, they are looking to carry this momentum the next game as they take on Gilbert. The Cubs’ last match is Monday, October 8 at home against North Polk.
