On September 25, the Nevada JV volleyball team traveled to North Polk High School to take on the Comets. They won both of the first two sets 25-20.
Sophomore Ashlynn Sporrer did a nice job of stepping in and setting for the night.
Coach Catie Neuman said, “We had better hitter coverage than we have had all year long. We are continuing to work on hitting hard and being aggressive at the net”.
During the second set, the Cubs were down 7-12 and came back to win a hard fought victory. In the Cubs’ extra time, they got to play some positions they normally don’t get a chance to play which was fun for the girls.
Coach Neuman also said, “This was probably one of their harder games this year and they held their composure well and finished out the game.”
The Cubs will be hosting a volleyball tournament on Saturday, September 29.
