On Tuesday, September 11th, the Nevada cross country teams ran in Pella. Nevada was placed third for both the boys and girls.
In the boys placings, Bondurant-Farrar won with an average time of 18:57, Pella placed second with an average time of 18:57, Nevada placed third with an average time of 19:49, North Polk placed fourth with an average time of 20:21, and Boone placed fifth with an average time of 20:50.
For Nevada, Dalton Baker (SR) placed third with a time of 18:33, just .02 seconds from the Bondurant-Farrar runner of 18:31, Carter Franzen (JR) placed 10th with a time of 19:20 just .01 second from a Pella runner of 19:19, and Jacob Sanders (SR) placed 18th with a time of 20:01. The Nevadas scored a total points of 78.
In the girls placing, Pella won with an average time of 21:51, North Polk placed second with an average time 22:27, Nevada placed third with an average of 23:22, Bondurant-Farrar placed fourth with an average time of 24:39, and Boone placed fifth with an average time of 28:34.
For Nevada, Elie Tuhn (FR) placed fifth with a time of 22:11, just .05 seconds from a Pella runner of 22:06, Eliana Hornbuckle (JR) placed eighth with a time of 22:16, tied with a Pella runner, Gabby Sampson (SO) placed 15th with a time of 23:46.
