On Thursday, September 13, the Cubs’ 7th grade football team took on the Greene County Rams. The Cubs lost 30-6 in a hard-fought battle.
“We had a few players play well, but overall we did not play as good as we should have,” said Coach Karl Corbin. “The second half we had a let down. The offense could move the ball but could not score.”
One key moment in the game was right before half time when the Cubs tied with Greene County. Wide receiver Alec Higgins caught a touchdown pass to tie the game going into the second half.
The Cubs play at home next week on Thursday, September 20 against the North Polk Comets.
