The Cubs won the JV football game against Perry 45-0 on Monday, September 10. The defense did an outstanding job limiting Perry to only a couple first downs. A lot of defensive players had a great game, including Myleek Wilkerson who had two interceptions, and Caden Jones who had a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
“Our entire defensive line did a tremendous job causing havoc in the Bluejays’ backfield,” said Coach Tyler Struck. “Offensively the O-Line did a great job opening up holes for our backs (Caden Jones especially) to run through, and both our quarterbacks, Blake Bottorf and Jordan Barrett, connected on a lot of tough passes to our receivers, including big catches by Connor Hines and Henry Nelson.”
The Cubs’ next game is Monday night against South Tama at home.
