On September 10, the 8th grade volleyball girls traveled to PCM. The purple team won one out of the three hard-fought games. The game scores were 7-21, 21-19, the third was a close 19-21. Coach Hailee Bentley said the third game was really intense, and the girls showed their competitiveness. Emma DePenning had a great game with her impressive serving.
For the gold team, the girls lost all three games but they fought hard throughout the whole match. The game scores were 9-21, 11-21, and 5-21. Coach Bentley was very proud of the way that the girls played. She added, “As always, the first games can be a little nerve-racking, but as soon we were in our groove, we really showed off our skills.”
The team’s next match will be against Gilbert at home on Monday.
