On Friday, September 1, Nevada beat Perry, 41- 13. During the game, two of Nevada’s players broke school records, Kody Kruschwitz and Andrew Saunders.
Kody Kruschwitz broke the school record for most yards thrown during a game with an astonishing 359 yards. Andrew Saunders broke the single game receiving record with 192 yards.
The offensive line as a whole has been improving each week, and the team wouldn’t have the success they do without such an amazing offensive line.
Coach Andrew Kleeman said, “We also played well defensively. They played fast and physical Friday night. Everyone made big plays at different points in the game.”
During the next week of practice they will be working on their play execution to make the plays more precise and smooth.
The Cubs take on the South Tama Trojans Friday night in Tama.
