The Nevada boys soccer team played Waterloo Columbus to go to state on Saturday, May 26 at Waterloo Columbus. They won with a score of 5-2, making it to the state tournament for the first time since 2013.
Brendan Sellberg scored two goals, Ayden Rhodes, Jose Buenrrostro, and Rodrigo Perez all scored one.
“The team played extremely well together,” said player Jose Buenrrostro.
The Cubs went to the Boys State Soccer Tournament and were eliminated in the first round by Williamsburg with a score of 1-2.
