On May 17 and May 19, Kacie Rewerts competed at the state track meet.
Coach Ted Johnston was very proud of how hard she worked this season. He is especially proud of how she did at state.
In the 3000 meter run, Kacie placed 18th and had a time of 11:21.74.
“Her time in the 3000 wasn’t what she hoped for, but she came back on Saturday, focused and determined,” said Coach Johnston.
In the 1500 meter run, she placed 10th and had a time of 4:56.60. Kacie had her best run of the year and took seven seconds off her best time. She was pleased with her time and how she place at state. She’s looking forward to running at Drake Stadium the next two years!
