On Friday, May 4, the boys middle school track team ran at North Polk at the Heart of Iowa Conference meet.. They took fourth place overall. Both Coach Karl Corbin and Coach Andy Kleeman were proud of the effort of the team.
The boys started off strong with field events. Nate Anderson placed second in discus and James Edwards was third in long jump. Caedan daSilva improved his school record in the high jump with a jump of 5’-10” and placed first.
Gavin Melohn placed sixth in the 100 Meter Dash, Caedan DaSilva placed first in the 200 Meter Dash. James Edwards placed fifth in the 200 Hurdles and Logan Bullock placed eighth in the 200 Hurdles.
The shuttle hurdle team of Ty Dittmer, Caleb Kooiker, James Edwards, and Logan Bullock got fourth place. The 4×200 Meter team of Caleb Kooiker, James Edwards, Will Gibbons, and Caedan daSilva placed first The Sprint Medley team of Gavin Melohn, Karter Bevin, Caleb Kooiker, and Will Gibbons placed third. The 4x100M team of Gavin Melohn, Caleb Kooiker, Will Gibbons, and Caedan daSilva placed second.
