5.7 MS Girls Track @ Boone

On Monday, May 7, the middle school girls had their last track meet at Boone. Overall the meet went well.

Elie Tuhn had a good first half of her open 800 and took three seconds off her best time.  She also set a PR (personal record) in an 800 split with a time of 2:40.3. Over the season, Alexis Bartmess has continued to lower her 400 split time and ran a PR time of 1:17. Alex Arnaud had her personal best in the shot put and threw 28’6″. Avery Hinson had her personal record in high jump and jumped 4′.

Tara Donnelly did a nice job in the 200 meter hurdles, really attacking each hurdle. Emma DePenning passed a lot of people in her 400 leg of the Distance Medley Relay. Allison Kruzich kept improving her sprint speed over the season and had a great finish in the 4×200 with a split of 29.00.

For eighth grade top finishers, Alex Arnaud placed first and threw 28’6″ in the shot put. In discus, Peyton Hanson threw 67’4” and placed third.  Savannah Skaggs, Alex Arnaud, Tessa Borwick, Elie Tuhn placed first in the distance medley. Their final time was 4:50.28.

Saron Mehari-Redae placed third in the 1500 meter and had a time of 6:34.72. Savannah Skaggs placed third in the 200 meter and ran a time of 29.73. Elie Tuhn placed first in the 800 meter run and had a time of 2:45.58. Savannah Skaggs, Alex Arnaud, Chasitty Scott, Tessa Borwick placed second in the 4×100. Their final time was 58:61.

For the seventh grade top finishers, Avery Hinson, Stephanie Lopez, Natalie Barber, Bridget Cahill placed second in the 4×800. Their final time was 12:25. Sarah Sullivan, Ella Haley, Emma DePenning, Kaleigh Groat were part of the distance medley team. They placed third and ran a time of 5:52.29. In the 4×200, Paige Handsaker, Ella Check, Natalie Barber, Allison Kruzich had a time of 2:12.44 and placed second. Avery Hinson, Lily Goos, Sarah Sullivan, Stephanie Lopez placed third in the 4×400. They ended up running a time of 5:10.43.
