On May 5, the Nevada boys went to the Ames Country Club for a golf meet. All five players in the top ten. The Cubs broke the school record hitting a score of 305. It was a good opportunity for the Cubs to get practice on the course where they will play sectionals.
“I was very proud of the players – they hit a rough stretch on the back but showed resilience and stuck to the game plan the entire round, and it paid off over the course of the day,” said Coach Ryan Brown.
Dylan Sporer did well hitting a 74. Cam Shill, Kyle Linder, and Caden Jones all did very well, hitting 77 each. Harold Dobernecker had a great game ending with a score of 81.
