The Nevada soccer girls’ team played on April 30th against Greene County at home. The girls won, 10-0 to end the game shortly after the second half started.
Many people scored with Kayla Dunson, Amanda Fortmann, and Maddie Stevens all scoring two each and Hannah Thomsen, Hattie Rhodes, Meredith Harter, and J.J. Williamson all scoring one each.
Coach Davis was overall pleased with this game.
“I was very impressed with how well the girls played after last week’s games. I was also pleased with their performance as it was the first game after prom.”
Coach Davis also said it was a great team effort and multiple people played well, but in particular Hattie Rhodes played her best game all season.
“Hattie played her best game this season. She had three attempts and one goal in the game. She definitely stood out to me in this game, but overall it was a team effort and everyone played a very good game,” commented Coach Davis.
The defense played a very strong game, as Greene County only had one shot against Grace Francis in the 44 minutes the teams played.
