The boys’ golf team traveled to Rathbun on Thursday, April 26th. The team finished first overall and Kyle Linder was the overall medalist with a score of 74.
This meet was a very challenging course and the team thought it was interesting to see how they matched up with some other quality 3A schools. The main goal at this meet was to be more focused on finishing well. After four to five hours of walking in the sun, walking the course, and dealing with the mental challenges of the round, focus is crucial in golf.
“It is extremely important to reach down inside and find the mental fortitude to finish the last three or four holes without giving more strokes away,” said Coach Brown.
The boys’ golf team has their next meet on May 1st at TCI.
