On April 3, the Nevada girls JV soccer team tied 1-1 with Indianola. Late in the game, at about 10 minutes left, Marisa Snider scored Nevada’s lone goal off a ball being cleared from a defensive end.
“It was great to see Marisa score her first goal in her high school career,” said Coach Davis. “Other than that, I felt the team learn a lot and got stronger as the game went on. They became more comfortable.”
On April 3, the Nevada girls varsity soccer team also played Indianola and won 2-1.
Two juniors, Amanda Fortmann and Maddie Stevens, scored one point each, improving Nevada’s record this season at 2-0.
Nevada girls next away game is April 13 against Ames, and the next home game is tonight against Prairie City-Monroe. Come support the Cubs!
