Mike Lawler is the current head girls’ golf coach and has been coaching this sport for the past 16 years. Mr. Lawler also teaches Biology and Anatomy & Physiology at Nevada High School.
Coach Lawler started coaching because he loves the sport of golf and how much it teaches an individual about life. He has continued because he truly enjoys it and loves to see the growth from each person throughout the season. He also enjoys to watch his players experience success and the enjoyment of the game.
Coach Lawler has many goals for the team during this season. His main goal is to continually improve as a team and overall for each person to improve individually. He also wants to make golf as fun as he can, while reaching his goals. His coaching philosophy is that if you love the process, someday, the process will love you back. He also thinks that because it is just a game, it should be fun no matter what.
