The varsity girls basketball team played against Grundy Center Tuesday, February 6. The Cubs ended up losing, 45-35.
The girls played well in the first three quarters as they were up 29-22. The fourth quarter was a little rough, though, as Grundy Center ended up out scoring the Cubs 23-6.
“It was good for us to play against a good team right before tournament time,” said Coach Tony Neubauer. “We learned a lot about what we need to work on to make a run at the state tournament again.”
Some players who contributed to the team were Lexy Koudelka with 15 points, Riley Mailey with eight points, and Amanda Fortmann and Hattie Rhodes each had six points.
