On Friday, January 19 the Nevada Varsity girls lost to the North Polk Comets 31-41.
“Our kids played really hard, we just made a few errors in the 3rd quarter that let the game get away from us,” said Coach Tony Neubauer. “It was our first game without Lexy (Koudelka), so there was sort of a period of adjustment going on.”
Without Lexy, some new girls had to step in and play hard. Kacie Rewerts and Riley Mailey each had ten points and led the team in scoring. Coach Neubauer also said that the team needs to work on rebounding and taking care of the ball in the coming games.
