On Friday, January 19, the Nevada freshman boys basketball played against North Polk at home. The Cubs were ahead all throughout the game, but they lost in overtime 70-66.
The highest scorers for the Cubs were Cooper Bovee with 17 points, Ayden Rhodes close with 16 points, and Caden Jones with 12 points.
“We ran into some foul trouble that took a couple of our key players out,” said Coach Jon Kruse.
“I think both teams played really well and it’s unfortunate that we ended up on the losing side of the game but we get gained some experience of playing in a close game at the end and playing in an overtime game again,” said Coach Kruse.
The Cubs next play at Roland Story on Friday January 26.
