On Friday January 5th, the Nevada boys JV basketball team traveled to Des Moines for a game to Saydel High School. They played a hard, disciplined game and came out with a win. The score was 59-22 with leading scorers of Kody Kruschwitz with 17, Brayden Bottorf with 9, and Anthony Ellis with 8.
The Cubs started with a lot of intensity which fueled their big lead for the rest of the game. Coach Baethke was pleased with the fact that they played hard and did a good job of playing team defense. He feels they need to continue working on individual skills and the efficiency of their offense.
