Coach Uthe answers several questions about the girls basketball game on Tuesday, December 19. They played against Greene County.
The defense did a great job of keeping the other team from the basket, which paid off. Nevada won 45-4, and when asked what could use some work, Coach Uthe said “With a game like that, it’s hard to find to many faults.” He says they got ahead and never let Green County into the game. They also worked on their zone defense during the game.
For the future, Coach Uthe would like to install a new offense and clean up in-bound plays.
Individuals who stood out include Gabrielle Sampson, who led all scorers with 18 points, Audrey Gibson and Taylor Conrad, each with eight points. Coach Uthe was very happy with the results of the game, and the team will most likely play just as hard at their next game.
