The Nevada Cubs 7th grade girls team faced off against the North Polk Comets at home Monday, December 18. The Cubs started off slow but got more aggressive as the games went on.
“We feel like every player has improved in some way every game. Even when we don’t come out on top of the scoreboard, our players are making improvements,” said co-coach Jill Gray. “I think the girls need to be mentally ready to play every day. We seem to always get off to a slow start. We also need to not let up when things start going our way.”
The Cubs came in competitive and they didn’t give up, they had the mindset that the game is never over.
The team ends its season tonight with a game against Roland-Story at the middle school gym in Roland.
