On Friday, December 15, the Nevada boys JV basketball team hosted Roland Story. It was a hard fought game, but unfortunately for the Cubs, they lost 61-56. It hurt the Cubs early in the game when the Norseman finished the first quarter up 21-5. The slow start to the game was a big setback for the Cubs along with struggling with being able finish under the basket.
The second half was a big half for the Cubs. They had good transition offense and were able to put points on the board. At one point they brought it back to 4 points which was a big improvement from the first two quarters.
Leading Scorers for the cubs were Chase Lycke with 12 points, and Jarret Ferdin with 8 points. Along with that, Jarret Ferdin had 6 rebounds, and Henry Nelson had 5 rebounds.
