The JV girls basketball team played West Marshall, on Monday, December 18. They won their game, 25-20. Leading scorers were Rylee Stevenson with 9 points and Amelea Jones with 6 points.
In the fourth quarter, Coach Herson was happy his girls shut out the Trojans, but the team missed some open scoring opportunities. He is trying to create a calming presence throughout the team, so emotions don’t limit their scoring. Coach Hersom also hopes the girls will knock down a few more three point shots so the inside shots are a little less guarded. He wants to open up the post so they get more inside shots with better scoring opportunities which will help them in later games.
The JV girls are 5-4 this year and looking to finish above a .500 before break. They have 2 games left and are hoping to win them.
