The JV girls basketball team lost at Ballard, 40-28, Saturday, December 16. The team is still working on handling full court pressure as Ballard pressed 95% of the game. The Cubs need to reduce their turnovers and keep working getting into their ½ court offense. They started the game 6-1 then lost some composure and Ballard pulled ahead. Ballard was aggressive at driving hard to the lane and finishing at the rim.
The Cubs played better offensively in the second half with a couple bright spots being sophomore Meredith Harter scoring 6 and freshman post Sydney Mosinski scoring 4 on some good inside plays.
The Cubs need to continue to be mindful in handling the ball and becoming a little more aggressive offensively to take advantage of some overplay from opponents on defense.
The Cubs play again Thursday, December 21 at PCM.
