On Friday, December 15, the Nevada Cubs Varsity Girls team won 42-27 over the 6th rated and previously undefeated Roland Story at home. Lexy Koudelka was a key player, scoring 24 points and grabbing 20 rebounds. Hattie Rhodes, Amanda Fortmann, and Riley Mailey all hit big 3s to create separation in the second half.
As a team, the Cubs played great defensively. They made Roland Story take hard contested shots, which made a big difference in the game. Coach Tony Neubauer said that in future games, the Cubs need to work on being patient in the half court set on offense as well as taking better care of the basketball.
