On December 15, the varsity boys basketball team played Roland Story at home. They won the game with a score of 51-38. Coach Chris Hinson said he was proud of his starters and bench for playing hard all game. He was really proud of his defense for holding them to 38 points.
Nevada leading scores were Trent Stahl with 14 points, Jack Higgins and Omunique Wilkerson with 8 points, Tyler Sansgard, Luke Merfeld, and Devin See with 6 points.
The team’s goals over the next few weeks are to have long stretches of solid plays and minimize the bad stretches as much as possible.
The Cubs play Greene County Tuesday, December 19 at home.
