The Nevada Boys varsity basketball team hosted PCM on Tuesday, December 12. PCM started off the game with a 12-0 run on. The Mustangs were playing tight defense and were hitting shots left and right. The Cubs made some adjustments and were able to climb back and tie it at half, 26-26.
The Cubs were hoping to use this momentum leading into the second half, but PCM had other plans. Coach Hinson was pleased with the effort of the players at times, but feels they need to work on sustaining that for the entire game.
The game ended with a score of 42-66, with the Mustangs walking away with a win.
Leading scorers for the Cubs were Trent Stahl with 9 points, Jakob Strottman with 8, and Luke Merfeld with 7.
