The Nevada Cubs freshman boys lost against the Gilbert Tigers 52-41 at home on Friday, December 8. Cooper Bovee lead the Cubs with a total of 13 points.
The Cubs started the game out really well and had a 31-19 lead at half. But Gilbert made some adjustments at half and pressured the Cubs’ ball handlers more than what they were used to, which caused turnovers.
“If we would have stayed out of foul trouble, that would have helped a lot since we only play 6 or 7 guys right now,” said Coach Jon Kruse. “Our conditioning ran out at the end of the game, and we couldn’t pressure them into turnovers.”
