The seventh grade girls basketball team played Greene County on Monday, December 4. The team had been practicing zone press to run against Greene County.
During the game the A team did their zone press against Greene County and they struggled getting some traps that were really important and ended up falling behind 3-2 in the first quarter. After the first quarter they switched from zone to man press, and they didn’t give up anymore points. The A team won with 28-3 score. They did a good job fighting screens and helping each other out on defense.
The girls B team did a really good job on defence with a hard man to man defence, and won their game 29-8. Coach Corey Long said, “That they did a fantastic job the last couple of games playing hard with 10 girls playing on the A and B team, so they were all playing with no substitutions.”
