The JV girls basketball team played a game against North Polk on December 1.
The team was still trying to find their places during the game. They were trying to get the right mixture for different positions, and expand the skills in defensive and offensive positions. Some girls are strong in one position and not in the other, but Coach Hersom plans to help them develop all their skills.
The top scorers for the game were Addison Vorm with 9 points, and Amelea Jones and Caroline Ausman with 6 each.
Though the game was lost, Coach Hersom believes that the girls can improve with confidence, focus, and practice. “In JV it’s not about the wins/losses, but how the girls prepare themselves now and in the future,” said Coach Hersom.
